Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Miller (ranked 1648 p4p, 177 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 1683 p4p, 180 weight class). Miller's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2pac - Im A Souljah. Jean Labosky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 15 - 30 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Labosky wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance.
Miller just misses with a punch to the body.
Miller scores with a punch to the head.
Labosky has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Labosky tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Labosky bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Miller looks to land a left hand but Labosky moved out of range nicely.
Labosky moves out of range of the body kick from Miller.
Labosky tries to counter with a clinch but Miller shakes him off and moves away.
Miller throws out a loose jab but Labosky uses good head movement to avoid it.

Labosky wants to get up but he can't break Miller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miller wants to take a breather but Labosky is having none of it.

Miller stops Labosky from getting back to his feet.

Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Labosky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Miller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Labosky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Miller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Labosky.

Miller throws a strike but Labosky rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Labosky throws a series of strikes that have Miller backpedaling.
Miller moves out of range of the body kick from Labosky.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Labosky.
Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Labosky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
