I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Song 2. Brad Lansar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lansar takes a jab right on the kisser.
Lansar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Smith misses with an uppercut
and Lansar counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice body kick from Smith.
Good shot there by Smith.


It looks like Brad Lansar has been cut.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith cracks Lansar with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lansar is defended easily by Smith.
Lansar misses the jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lansar connects with a crisp jab.

Smith lands a big right hand that sends Lansar crashing to the mat! Smith stays standing though and waves Lansar back to his feet!

Lansar throws a body shot but no joy.
Lansar seems to have recovered his senses.
Lansar sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lansar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Lansar's head but Lansar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!
Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lansar instigates a clinch.

Lansar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Smith blocks a body shot from Lansar.
Smith blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lansar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lansar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lansar.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Smith.
Lansar can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.
Lansar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Smith blocks an uppercut.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lansar tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Brad Lansar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith misses with a head kick.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends Lansar tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Lansar back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lansar avoids a punch combination nicely.

Smith throws a head kick but Lansar moves out of range.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Lansar moves out of range easily.
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lansar ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Lansar instigates a clinch.
Lansar lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lansar lands with a left to the head.
Lansar lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Smith prevents a body shot from Lansar.
Lansar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smiths head.
Lansar struggles to land a body shot inside as Smith controls his hands.
Lansar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lansar misses with a punch to the body.
Lansar lands a nice shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lansar tries for a takedown but Smith manages to get underhooks.
Lansar throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lansar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lansar drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Lansar.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smith misses with a body kick.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Lansar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice shot lands for Lansar.
Lansar throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Smith is breathing heavily.
A combination from Lansar does no damage.
Smith throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lansar counters with a big right hand! Oh Smith is in trouble here! Lansar follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brad Lansar!
A very excited looking Brad Lansar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
