Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geordie Power (ranked 1045 p4p, 163 weight class) and Cleon Wright (ranked 1740 p4p, 252 weight class). Cleon Wright told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Power.
Power motions for Wright to come forward. Power throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wright! But no joy.
Wright checks a leg kick.
Power tried to score with a low kick but Wright checks it.
Wright throws out a counter right but Power avoids it with no problem.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Power is just out of range.
Wright misses with an uppercut.
Power has Wright up against the ropes in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Power fails to land.
Wright tries to circle away but Power has him pinned against the ropes.
Wright is trying to push Power away but Power has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Power went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Power fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wright.
Wright feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Powers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Power throws a nice looking combination but Wright bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Power throws the kick towards the body but Wright avoids it.
Power throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A head kick misses from Wright.
Power will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wright tries a low kick but Power avoids it.
Power tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wright is able to avoid easily.
Wright throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wright takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Geordie Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Cleon Wright has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wright darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Power on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Power throws a leg kick which misses Wright's front leg but catches the back leg as Wright tries to avoid it.
Power will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Wright might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
