Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Lowery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jrayden Johnson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowery tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Lowery ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Lowery, which made it look bad.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Lowery sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johnson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Johnson gets tackled into the cage by Lowery. Lowery maintains the clinch.

Johnson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Lowery trying to control the position.
Johnson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lowery's head.
Lowery is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Johnson scoring with punches to the head and body.

Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lowery dives on top into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lowery avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lowery trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lowery wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lowery can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lowery throws a big right hand that misses.
Johnson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Johnson has his foot on Lowery's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lowery works his way back into a safe position though.
Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lowery is aware though and is defending well.
Johnson looks winded!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Johnson working for a triangle but Lowery defends it easily.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lowery defends well.
Lowery seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Lowery works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Johnson actively working from the bottom here.

Johnson tries to get to full guard but Lowery has control of the leg.

Johnson looking for submissions off his back.

Lowery moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Johnson.
Lowery is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lowery takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Johnson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Lowery has hold of Johnson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Johnson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lowery cranks the arm and Johnson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Johnson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
