Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Markus Somerkoski (ranked 3296 p4p, 387 weight class) and Brook Whitebeard (ranked 4112 p4p, 458 weight class). Whitebeard is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Remember The Name. Brook Whitebeard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitebeard throws a shot to the body.
Whitebeard throws a shot from downtown. Somerkoski moves away and avoids it.
Whitebeard lands with a shot to the body.
Whitebeard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Somerkoski.
Whitebeard scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Somerkoski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Temp Spar Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Somerkoski throws an off balance right hand
and Whitebeard counters with a one-two to the body.
Somerkoski fails with the takedown
and Whitebeard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Whitebeard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A looping hook to the body misses from Whitebeard. Somerkoski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Whitebeard moves away from the strike by Somerkoski.
Whitebeard scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Whitebeard is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Somerkoski rather than just go for the knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Whitebeard lands a left and a right that send Somerkoski crashing to the mat, dazed. Whitebeard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Somerkoski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Somerkoski is breathing heavily.
Whitebeard thuds a left hand into Somerkoski's body.
Somerkoski tries to get into range but Whitebeard steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Somerkoski! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Whitebeard scores the big KO victory!

A relieved looking Brook Whitebeard thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
