The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elijah shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Elijah was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Elijah goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jacob has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Elijah but great work by Jacob.
Elijah sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jacob passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jacob prevents Elijah from getting the reversal.
Jacob content just to control the position here.
Elijah tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Elijah bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Elijah drops back looking for a leg! Jacob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jacob manages to kick Elijah off! Elijah jumps back into Jacob's guard.
Elijah drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Elijah jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Elijah drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Elijah as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jacob screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Elijah! Nice submission victory there!
