Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alastair Dunn (ranked 952 p4p, 124 weight class) and Yordan Andonov (ranked 3719 p4p, 398 weight class). Alastair Dunn had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alastair Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yordan Andonov!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Andonov on the side of the head.
Dunn lands with a good body shot.
Dunn lands a glancing blow to the side of Andonov's head.


It looks like Yordan Andonov has been cut.
Andonov slips a jab and a cross from Dunn.
Dunn lands a jab.
Andonov misses with a takedown attempt - Dunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dunn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Andonov under the eye.
A right-left combo lands from Dunn.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dunn fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Andonov shoots in looking for a takedown but Dunn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Andonov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dunn is looking to counter punch.
Andonov walks into a straight right hand from Dunn.
It looks like Dunn has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Dunn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Dunn thuds his right hand into Andonov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Andonov shoots and misses
and Dunn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Some wild striking there from Dunn.

Dunn drops Andonov with a left and a right! Oh, Andonov is hurt - Dunn dives into side control looking to finish!

Dunn in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Andonov is still in real trouble! Can Dunn finish him?

Dunn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dunn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Andonov seems to have recovered his senses.
Dunn lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Andonov down.
Andonov tries to buck Dunn off but Dunn is having none of it.

Dunn is trying to get an arm triangle but Andonov is defending well.
Andonov is trying to get back to his feet.

Andonov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dunn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dunn content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Andonov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dunn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dunn digs a good body shot into Andonov's ribs.

Dunn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dunn.

Dunn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Dunn drops Andonov with a big left hand and mounts him. Andonov is in big trouble!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Andonov tries to reverse the position but Dunn maintains control.
Dunn lands a heavy elbow.

Dunn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Andonov has worked his arm free - good work by Andonov!

Dunn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Andonov can do to turn this around?

Andonov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dunn connects with a decent elbow.
Dunn grinds an elbow into Andonov's temple.
Dunn cracks Andonov with a big right hand but Andonov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Dunn lands some shots froms side control.

Dunn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Andonov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dunn but great work by Andonov.

Dunn throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Andonov has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Dunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Dunn lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Andonov sprawling to the canvas. Dunn follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Andonov hang on?
Andonov wants to get back to full guard.
Dunn is looking to take a break and control but Andonov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Andonov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Dunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Andonov walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Andonov walks into a jab.
Andonov goes for a double leg but Dunn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dunn continues to drive forward.
Dunn is looking for a counter combo.
Dunn scores with a hook to the body. Andonov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dunn lands with a right and another and another! Andonov is in big trouble! Dunn lands again and this time it's lights out for Andonov! A quality knockout there for Dunn.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alastair Dunn!
After winning the bout, Alastair Dunn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
