Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bea Mason (ranked 2888 p4p, 334 weight class) and Wiremu Huia (ranked 3675 p4p, 394 weight class). Huia has chosen Poi E - Patea Maori Club as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason throws a jab when Huia was well out of range.
Mason misses with a hook. Huia ducked under it nicely.
Huia throws a counter combo.
Nice sprawl there from Huia as Mason shoots in.
Mason misses with a right hand

and Huia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Huia.
Mason drops down looking for an ankle pick but Huia pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mason looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Mason clinches up against the cage.
Huia tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mason wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Huia working aggressively here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mason throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Huia blocks it with crossed arms.
Huia lands a left hand.

Mason gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Huia regains guard.
Huia controlling the position.

Huia looking for a guillotine here but Mason defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Huia has his feet on Mason's thighs here. He's pushed Mason off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mason screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
