Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Moro (ranked 3305 p4p, 405 weight class) and Skylar Sreng (ranked 5339 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Moro !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Skylar Sreng!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Moro , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moro avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck for Moro with that takedown attempt.

Sreng shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Sreng pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moro is keeping the position for now.
Sreng content to stall in guard here.
Moro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sreng stops Moro from standing up.

Sreng seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sreng postures up in Moro 's guard and throws a big left but Moro blocks it.
Sreng wants to pass the guard but Moro is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sreng engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sreng feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Moro controls Sreng momentarily but Sreng frees himself.

Sreng prevents Moro from getting back to his feet.
Sreng pushes down on Moro 's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sreng stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Sreng slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Moro controls Sreng momentarily but Sreng frees himself.
Sreng passes Moro 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Moro is looking to improve his position.

Sreng is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sreng wants to pass to mount but Moro is defending the position.
Sreng controlling the action here.

Sreng drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sreng stays in close to Moro 's body and controls the position.
Moro is trying to control the position but Sreng postures up.

Sreng gets to his feet. Moro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Moro gets tackled into the cage by Sreng. Sreng maintains the clinch.
Moro has Sreng pressed against the cage.
Sreng is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Moro gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Come on Sreng - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Sreng on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sreng has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Moro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sreng regains guard immediately.
Moro is looking to advance position but Sreng has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Moro could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Moro wants to hold on but Sreng pushes him away.
Sreng takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sreng landing strikes, looking to finish!

Sreng controlling from the full mount.
Sreng fails to take his opponent's back.
Moro sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Sreng stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Moro to get to his feet.

Sreng shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moro is looking for a triangle here but Sreng uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Sreng is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Moro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Sreng stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Moro shoots and misses

and Sreng counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Moro gets underhooks to prevent Sreng's takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sreng gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Moro regains guard.
Sreng stays in close to Moro 's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Skylar Sreng showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sreng's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Moro tries to sprawl but Sreng drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sreng is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Moro is bucking up trying to escape but Sreng cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sreng is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sreng prevents Moro from getting the reversal.
Sreng tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Moro is looking to improve his position but Sreng isn't that keen on the idea.

Sreng stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Sreng shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sreng takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moro is looking to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Skylar Sreng comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sreng winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
