Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pain Master (ranked 5259 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Mad Max (ranked 22996 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Master shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mad Max manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Master drops back looking for a leg! Mad Max is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mad Max manages to kick Master off! Master jumps back into Mad Max's guard.
Master sitting in guard here, content to control.
Master's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Mad Max wants to stand up but Master is controlling him.

Mad Max is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Master defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Master is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Master is pushing down on Mad Max's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mad Max is fighting to maintain full guard but Master has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mad Max has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Master is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Master with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Master seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mad Max for as long as he can get away with.
Mad Max really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Master. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Master is trying to work for a kimura but Mad Max is defending well.

Master in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mad Max tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Master!
