The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liguy looks for a takedown but Romo sprawls well.
Romo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.

Romo tries to sprawl but Liguy drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Romo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Liguy scores with a couple of nice shots.
Romo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Liguy slips a nice elbow through Romo's hands, connecting with Romo's forehead.

Romo is trying to control Liguy's posture but Liguy avoids it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Romo gets caught flat footed, as Liguy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Liguy is in close to Romo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Oh Romo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Romo has momentary wrist control but Liguy slips an elbow through the middle.
Romo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Liguy gets to his feet and stands over Romo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Romo felt that one! Liguy unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Romo from any more punishment!
