The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OCallaghan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

OCallaghan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mccall stands up over OCallaghan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Mccall got a little sloppy there for a moment and OCallaghan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mccall has managed to get both his arms back between OCallaghan's legs - danger averted.

Mccall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but OCallaghan swivels and escapes.
OCallaghan steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mccall.
No joy there for OCallaghan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
OCallaghan misses with a double jab.
Mccall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
OCallaghan throws a solid leg kick but Mccall takes the impact on his shin and smiles at OCallaghan.
Mccall is looking to counter the offense by OCallaghan and move into the clinch.

Mccall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in OCallaghan's guard.
Mccall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mccall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mccall keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of OCallaghan's head.

Mccall lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mccall is working OCallaghan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Mccall works a leg free and moves into half guard.
OCallaghan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mccall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
OCallaghan wants to improve his position but Mccall is controlling well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mccall lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
OCallaghan wants to control but Mccall is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mccall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
OCallaghan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



OCallaghan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
OCallaghan is pushing Mccall's head away, looking to escape. Mccall manages to hold on to the position though.

Mccall thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mccall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by OCallaghan, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mccall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mccall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

OCallaghan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mccall has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Mccall has worked his way into a potential kimura here. OCallaghan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mccall yanks on the arm and OCallaghan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mccall.
