Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Greene (ranked 5237 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luc Travis (ranked 3414 p4p, 333 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luc Travis!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Travis has taken the fight to the clinch.

Greene manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Greene on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Greene tries to get out of the position.

Greene is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Travis trying to control the position from guard on top but Greene is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Travis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Greene's guard.
Greene seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Travis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Travis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Greene keeping moving, preventing Travis from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Greene changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Travis tries to avoid it but Greene manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Travis to the ground. Travis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Greene fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Travis or perhaps it was just good defense by Greene, which made it look bad.

Greene closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Travis's guard.
Greene stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Travis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Travis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Travis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Travis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Greene defends well.
Greene scoring with punches to the head and body.
Greene wants to stand but Travis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Travis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Greene looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Travis wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Greene manages to pass to side control.
Greene landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Greene tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Travis.
Greene seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Greene tries to stand and escape but Travis is controlling the position.
Greene prevents Travis from improving his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Greene controlling the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Greene misses with a jab, cross combination.
A countering left hand to the body from Travis misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Greene dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Travis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Travis shoots in for a double leg but Greene sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Travis falls off balance throwing a combination

and Greene counters by moving into the clinch.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Travis has eaten all the pies!
Travis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Greene walks away with a smile on his face. Travis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Greene drives through with a takedown into guard.
Greene landing some decent shots from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Greene has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Greene works over Travis with some ground and pound from guard.
Greene is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Greene controls from within his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Greene wants to get up but he can't break Travis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Greene is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Travis can do to turn this around?

Greene rushes Travis and presses him up against the cage.

Travis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Travis throws a head kick that misses.

Greene shoots in but Travis avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Greene closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Travis to the mat! Travis manages to get full guard.

Travis has his feet on Greene's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Greene decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Greene perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Travis tries to roll over but Greene keeps him under control.

Greene wants to work for an arm triangle but Travis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Travis is looking to escape.

Travis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Greene pulls his head out easily.
Greene keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Travis is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Travis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Greene.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Greene clinches with his opponent.
Travis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Greene darts in looking for a takedown but Travis gets double underhooks and turns Greene into the cage.

Greene goes for a takedown attempt but Travis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Travis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Travis showed some decent athleticism there.

Travis thows a huge punch but Greene dodges it nicely.

Travis prevents Greene from improving his position.
Travis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Greene is doing well to control the position and prevent Travis from advancing to side control.
Travis wants to pass to mount but Greene is defending the position.
Travis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Travis is keen to just control but Greene is a slippery customer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Travis is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Greene is adopting a defensive guard.

Greene controls Travis momentarily but Travis frees himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Travis throws a lazy head kick

and Greene counters with a single leg into guard. Travis didn't expect that.
Greene is pushing down on Travis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Travis is fighting to maintain full guard but Greene has managed to sneak the leg through.
Well, if Greene is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Greene is looking to advance position but Travis won't allow it.
Greene will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Greene prevents Travis from improving his position.
Greene passes into side control, despite Travis's attempt to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Travis wants to get back to his feet but Greene drags him back down.
Travis is letting Greene control him for a moment.
Travis tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Greene easily slips into full mount!
Greene controlling from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Greene seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Travis for as long as he can get away with.

And that's the end of the fight!
Randy Greene showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Greene, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
