The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romaschenko closes the distance and clinches.
Romaschenko is trying to break the clinch but Hood has him pressed against the cage.
Romaschenko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hood uses from the top position.
Hood loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Romaschenko has his foot on Hood's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hood works his way back into a safe position though.
Hood wants to stand but Romaschenko is controlling his posture from full guard.
Romaschenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hood is aware though and is defending well.
Hood has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Romaschenko has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hood doesn't defend quickly enough and Romaschenko has managed to lock this one up! Can Hood escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Romaschenko on a fantastic submission victory.
