Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Argat Khan (ranked 1233 p4p, 157 weight class) and Mat Diaz (ranked 875 p4p, 107 weight class). Diaz has chosen I Got Five On It as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Argat Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mat Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan connects with a leg kick. Diaz looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Khan scoring well with a low kick there.
Khan moves out of range as Diaz strikes.
Khan throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A cross from Diaz lands.
Diaz takes one to the side of the head.
Diaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Diaz blocks a leg kick.
A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Diaz counters with a three punch combo that has Khan backing up. Khan nods at Diaz to acknowledge the strikes.

Diaz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Khan can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Diaz tries to score a body lock takedown but Khan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Khan connects with a solid leg kick.
Khan throws an overhand right that drops Diaz like a sack of potatoes! Khan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
