The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson with a poor takedown
and Zoldyk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zoldyk!
Johnson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Zoldyk gets back to half guard.
Zoldyk is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Zoldyk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson content to control rather than advance.
Johnson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zoldyk!
Zoldyk is trying desperately to improve position.

Johnson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Zoldyk is squirming around, avoiding Johnson's attempts to control the action.
Johnson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Zoldyk is desperately trying to improve his position but Johnson has a good base and remains in mount.
Zoldyk wants to control but Johnson is having none of it.
Zoldyk is working to get back to half guard.
Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Johnson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Zoldyk turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Johnson off and cradles Zoldyk's limp body as Johnson celebrates with his corner.
