Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blair Bell (ranked 23821 p4p, 0 weight class) and AL AL (ranked 5204 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Blair Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, AL AL!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

AL manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bell on his heels. He'll look to pass Bell's guard now, I'm sure.
Bell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bell wants to get back to his feet but AL is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

AL drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and AL jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
AL seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
AL advances position into side control!

AL wants to control for a moment but Bell uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Bell is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
AL seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
AL moves into full mount! Bell won't be happy about that!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
AL scores with a couple of good head shots there.

AL jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bell is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bell and AL has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bell is working to avoid the ground and pound but AL connects with a decent elbow.
Bell tries to buck AL off but AL is having none of it.
A lull in the action here as AL stalls from top position.

AL is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bell is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

AL wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bell, who protects the arm well.

AL looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Bell is trying to escape the position but AL is controlling the position.
Bell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
AL trying to control the action but Bell is working from the bottom.
AL just content to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

AL working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bell fails to land the takedown.
Bell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. AL tries to avoid it but Bell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag AL to the ground. AL escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

AL throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. AL is in Bell's guard.

AL is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
AL trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

AL throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bell trying to keep a closed guard but AL is proving a slippery customer.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
AL is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bell fails with the takedown.
AL tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blair Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

AL shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bell is trying to defend but AL finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
AL tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
AL seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
AL uses his free foot to push down on Bell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bell.
AL trying to control but Bell is having none of it.

AL goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bell is on top in guard.
Bell won't allow AL to sweep him here.
AL AL has got the better of the ground game so far.

AL is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bell is aware though and is defending well.
Bell postures up in AL's guard and throws a big left but AL blocks it.
AL has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

AL lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Bell throws a big elbow that misses.
AL not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

AL working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

AL is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bell defends well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
AL tries to strike from the bottom.
Bell lands a couple of digs.
Bell throws an elbow that misses. AL uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bell's guard. Nice move by AL!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

AL AL showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

AL is working to tighten his grip on Bell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but AL is really squeezing tight and eventually Bell passes out! AL breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
