Abbot circles away from the clinch attempt
and Abbot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.
Rivera walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rivera is looking to clinch but Abbot is avoiding it.
Abbot throws an overhand right that drops Rivera like a sack of potatoes! Abbot dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Abbot!
After the fight, Tony Abbot was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
