The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooj scores with a jab to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Hooj. No joy for Anstey on that attempt.
Anstey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hooj stuffs the takedown.
A big right from Hooj misses.

Anstey rushes Hooj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Anstey wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hooj has him pressed against the cage.

Anstey breaks from the clinch.
Hooj throws out a loose jab but Anstey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hooj lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hooj keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sjaardsen Hooj has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corwin Anstey.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anstey rushes Hooj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hooj can't find room to land a body shot as Anstey controls the action.
Anstey wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hooj creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hooj throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Anstey is looking to break free of the clinch but Hooj has double underhooks.

Hooj really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hooj tries a body shot but Anstey blocks it.
Anstey wants to break free but Hooj has control.
Hooj lands a right hand that snaps the head of Anstey backwards.

Anstey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anstey gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Hooj gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Anstey is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
