Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bronislav Pilat!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pilat has closed the distance and engaged Maartins in a clinch.
Maartins is trying to stall.

Maartins keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pilat's efforts to push away.
Maartins lands a knee to the body.
Maartins tries to land a knee to the head but Pilat blocks with his arms.

As Maartins backs off Pilat throws a huge counter combo but Maartins manages to avoid it all.

A nice side step and Pilat releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Maartins throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pilat takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Maartins throws a sloppy head kick and Pilat moves out of range easily.

Pilat walks forward, straight into a front kick from Maartins.

Maartins rushes Pilat and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Maartins throws a leg kick which misses Pilat's front leg but catches the back leg as Pilat tries to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pilat takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maartins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pilat circles away quickly and effectively.

Maartins lands an elbow inside that Pilat shrugs off.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Maartins lands a head kick that bluckles Pilat and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Maartins no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Bronislav Pilat's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Bronislav Pilat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pilat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pilat is still on wobbly legs! Can Maartins finish him?

Maartins cracks Pilat with a big elbow, right in the eye socket! Pilat drops to his knees in obvious pain! The referee starts the count but it's plainly obvious that Pilat isn't going to get back to his feet. The referee counts none the less and Maartins struts around the mat, safe in the knowledge that this one is over. A big win for Maartins!

After winning the bout, Yevgen Maartins thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
