The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock fails to land the takedown.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Brock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.
Brock tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Brock on that attempt.
Horrible takedown by Brock or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Brock fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Brock persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Silva is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Brock pulls his head out easily.

Silva manages to get to full guard.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brock is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brock's back instead.

Silva patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Silva is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Brock knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Brock for a finish.
Brock breaks Silva's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Brock drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Brock off! Brock jumps back into Silva's guard.

Silva looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brock passes into half guard.
