PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Genji Kamogawa (ranked 6506 p4p, 501 weight class) and Gianmarco Lobosco (ranked 3610 p4p, 375 weight class). Kamogawa comes to the cage accompanied by Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard - Hungry. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gianmarco Lobosco enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Genji Kamogawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gianmarco Lobosco!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kamogawa moves into the clinch.
Kamogawa digs a right hand into Lobosco's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lobosco's gas tank.
Kamogawa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lobosco has him pressed against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Kamogawa.
Lobosco looking for a takedown.
Kamogawa gets through Lobosco's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kamogawa is pressed up against the cage. Lobosco has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kamogawa down to the mat. Kamogawa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lobosco looks winded!

Kamogawa moves into the clinch successfully.
Lobosco is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Genji Kamogawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gianmarco Lobosco.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kamogawa.
Kamogawa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lobosco backwards.

Kamogawa breaks the clinch.

Kamogawa drops Lobosco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lobosco looks back up at him and smiles so Kamogawa waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lobosco is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamogawa drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Lobosco's head, knocking him out cold! Kamogawa is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Genji Kamogawa!
Genji Kamogawa was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
