Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Porky Nobriega (ranked 24549 p4p, 561 weight class) and Sake Chu (ranked 3235 p4p, 360 weight class). Chu has chosen Daughtry - Renegade as his entrance music. Porky Nobriega has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Porky Nobriega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sake Chu!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chu swats away the attempt to clinch by Nobriega.
A nice side step and Chu releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've been informed that Chu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Nobriega looks to land a combination but Chu avoids it well.
Nobriega throws a right and a left that Chu avoids nicely.
Nobriega closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Sake Chu has been cut.

Chu bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Nobriega! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nobriega wants to stand up but Chu is controlling him.

Chu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nobriega's guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chu in particular looking to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chu postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nobriega looks a forlorn figure.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Chu lands a head shot.
Nobriega walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Nobriega can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chu controls the pace.

Nobriega pushes Chu off looking to stand but Chu dives back in and keeps control.
Chu content to control rather than advance.

Chu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nobriega wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nobriega walks into a straight right hand from Chu.
Chu scores with a nice right hand.
and Chu counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Nobriega! He's just covering up as Chu starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sake Chu!
Sake Chu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
