Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dino Pelayo (ranked 2665 p4p, 288 weight class) and Ren Askcrew (ranked 5217 p4p, 471 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askcrew tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pelayo swivels and escapes.
Askcrew misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Askcrew shoots for a double leg takedown but Pelayo sprawls well. He's pushed Askcrew's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dino Pelayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Askcrew.

Pelayo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pelayo digs a right hand into Askcrew's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Askcrew's gas tank.
Askcrew tries to pull guard but Pelayo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Askcrew ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Askcrew no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Pelayo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Pelayo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Askcrew pushes a forearm under Pelayo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pelayo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
