The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaffer with a poor takedown

Proprio wants to free his trapped foot but Shaffer is holding on for dear life with his legs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Proprio is putting a hurting on Shaffer here, landing some big shots from side control.
