Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan Leatherface (ranked 5107 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Kivela (ranked 4270 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kivela. No joy for Leatherface on that attempt.
Kivela drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Leatherface defends it well.
Leatherface misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Logan Leatherface. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leatherface looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kivela bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kivela content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kivela thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kivela tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kivela has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Leatherface is looking for a sweep.
Kivela is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leatherface knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Leatherface is trying to get back to his feet.
Kivela should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
You can see the frustration on Leatherface's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Leatherface tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kivela wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kivela has hold of Leatherface's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Leatherface seems comfortable defending it but Kivela has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Leatherface is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Leatherface is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kivela couldn't care less - he's delighted!
