Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Black (ranked 24457 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xyryx Ignacio (ranked 6398 p4p, 0 weight class). Xyryx Ignacio will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ignacio forces Black back against the cage and clinches.
Black is trying to pull guard but Ignacio turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ignacio manages to break the clinch.
Ignacio thuds a left hand into Black's body.

Ignacio darts in and clinches Black up against the cage.

Ignacio is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Black can't fight it off and eventually Ignacio manages to take the fight to the floor. Black looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Black looking to control but Ignacio passes into half guard.
Black might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ignacio thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head.
Ignacio tries to stand and escape but Black actually recovers to full guard.

Black looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ignacio is one step ahead there.

Ignacio tries to free his leg and advance position but Black is retaining full guard.
Ignacio postures up in Black's guard and throws a big left but Black blocks it.

Black has Ignacio pulled in close to control his posture.
Ignacio throws a strike but Black rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ignacio is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Black presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Black tries to break free but Ignacio pushes him back against the cage.
Black blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Black wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ignacio wants the takedown. Black is fighting it off but Ignacio persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Black's guard against the cage.
Ignacio wants to pass the guard but Black is keeping the position.

Ignacio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Black controls Ignacio momentarily but Ignacio frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ignacio stays in close to Black's body and controls the position.
Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Black looking for a guillotine here but Ignacio defends easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Black wants to sweep here but Ignacio controlling him for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ignacio throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.
As Ignacio tries to get set, Black tries to push him back and clinch up but Ignacio manages to avoid the attempt.
Ignacio misses with a head kick.
Ignacio looks winded!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Black is looking for a counter combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ignacio. Black does a little dance to reset his feet.

Black avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Black gets tackled into the cage by Ignacio. Ignacio maintains the clinch.
Black tries to pull guard but Ignacio won't allow it.

Ignacio tightens his grip and picks Black up, before dumping him to the ground. Black manages to land in guard.
Black has a closed guard, preventing Ignacio from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.

Black stands up and waves to Ignacio to follow him.
Xyryx Ignacio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Black gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ignacio is breathing heavily.

Ignacio decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get!

Ignacio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Black napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Black manages to get back to half guard.
Black is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Ignacio throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Black keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ignacio has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ignacio wants to control but Black is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ignacio displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Black.
Ignacio keeps the fight on the outside.
Ignacio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Black appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Black looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Black shoots for a takedown but Ignacio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Xyryx Ignacio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
