PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Alviso (ranked 3263 p4p, 349 weight class) and Lukas Hanak (ranked 4214 p4p, 422 weight class). Alviso's entrance music is Pooh Man-Oakland. A fine choice. Hanak has chosen Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanak misses with a body kick.
Alviso walks into a jab.
Hanak smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Alviso takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hanak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alviso moves away.

Alviso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hanak is looking to get back to is feet but Alviso passes into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
I wouldn't like to be where Hanak is right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Alviso's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alviso connects with a nice short shot to Hanak's temple.

That was a close round but I would say that Jerome Alviso will probably get the nod.

Alviso went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Hanak clobbers Alviso with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Alviso's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hanak connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alviso scrambles back to his feet.

Alviso gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Hanak gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Alviso is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lukas Hanak!
A relieved looking Lukas Hanak thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Jerome Alviso stepped up to the mic, saying 'My dad and brother are going to kick my ass again when I get home...'.
