Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bora Lutar (ranked 5231 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Knight (ranked 5281 p4p, 513 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bora Lutar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Knight!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lutar scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lutar.

Knight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lutar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Knight controls the pace.
Let's hope that Knight has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight won't allow Lutar to sweep him here.

Knight stops Lutar from standing up.
Knight controlling from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Knight moves into the clinch.
Lutar misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lutar tries to stall but Knight uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Knight is working for takedown but Lutar is calmly controlling the position for now.
Knight blocks an uppercut.
Lutar misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Knight blocking some punches.
Knight has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lutar after a bit of a struggle.

Knight drags the fight down to the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Knight holds on and takes a little breather.
Knight looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lutar is one step ahead there.
Lutar trying to control the position from guard on top but Knight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Knight looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Knight looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lutar thuds a left hand into Knight's body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lutar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Knight bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lutar is trying to get back to half guard.
Knight is staying tight to Lutar's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lutar wants to control but Knight postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bora Lutar will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lutar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Knight clinches up with Lutar and pushes him back against the cage.
Lutar struggles to land a body shot inside as Knight controls his hands.

Knight works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Knight connects with a couple of short punches.

Knight not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Knight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lutar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lutar is looking to wear down Knight with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Knight doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Knight shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lutar but Lutar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lutar is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Knight.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Knight or perhaps it was just good defense by Lutar, which made it look bad.
Knight wants to clinch up but Lutar keeps it at a distance.

Knight shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lutar as he avoids it easily.
Lutar is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Knight.

and Lutar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lutar tries to clinch up but Knight circles away and keeps his distance.
Lutar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Knight can do to turn this around?
Lutar scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Knight shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lutar's guard.

Knight moves into the clinch successfully.
Lutar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Knight is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lutar is defending well for now.
Knight is working for takedown but Lutar is calmly controlling the position for now.
Knight is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Knight gets to his feet - Lutar follows without any prompting.
Bora Lutar is winning the standup battle so far.
Knight will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lutar jabs Knight to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Knight looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lutar!
Lutar is looking for a sweep.

Lutar looking for a sweep but Knight has passed into full mount! Oh no!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Knight misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bora Lutar.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lutar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
