The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar takes a swing at Jr's ribcage but misses.
Jr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Escobar as he jumps to the side.
Jr fails with a takedown attempt.

Jr forces Escobar back against the cage and clinches.

Jr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Escobar uses from the top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Escobar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Escobar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jr is just riding it out for now. Escobar eventually gives up the hold.

Escobar seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jr is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
