Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Duff (ranked 3308 p4p, 377 weight class) and Kenny Dykstra (ranked 5630 p4p, 508 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Duff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kenny Dykstra!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duff throws the kick towards the body but Dykstra avoids it.
Dykstra throws a sloppy head kick and Duff moves out of range easily.
Dykstra scores with a jab to the jaw.
Good exchange - Duff coming out on top.
Dykstra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Duff.
Duff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dykstra jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Duff changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dykstra looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dykstra throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duff dives in and scores a takedown into Dykstra's guard.
Duff throws an elbow that misses. Dykstra uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Duff's guard. Nice move by Dykstra!

Duff looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Duff lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dykstra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Duff sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Duff throws a nice looking combination but Dykstra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dykstra does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Duff feints and as Dykstra raises his hands in defense, Duff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dykstra takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Duff shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dykstra pinned against the cage. Dykstra gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duff drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dykstra sprawls and moves away.
Duff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dykstra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duff somewhat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Duff or perhaps it was just good defense by Dykstra, which made it look bad.

Duff lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dykstra moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tony Duff will probably get the nod.
That's time! Duff's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Duff is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dykstra still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dykstra has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dykstra working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Kenny Dykstra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dykstra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
