Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mr Ward (ranked 4174 p4p, 323 weight class) and Chosu McGrady (ranked 4115 p4p, 319 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Chosu McGrady!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Ward shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGrady's guard.

McGrady has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ward can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ward sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McGrady's guard.
McGrady is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ward's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ward's back!

I really don't envy Ward right now.

Ward is having to fend off submission attempts from McGrady, who is looking to sink in the choke. McGrady doesn't have the hooks in though and Ward manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Ward has hold of McGrady's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McGrady manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

McGrady reaches up to try and pull Ward in and control his posture, but Ward latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! McGrady taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 11:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mr Ward!
Mr Ward decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
