Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Beecher (ranked 1465 p4p, 49 weight class) and Billy Lakota (ranked 1838 p4p, 68 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Lakota!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beecher swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lakota wants to slow Beecher down by chopping away at his legs.
Lakota throws a right and a left that Beecher avoids nicely.
Beecher swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lakota is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A slapping body kick lands there for Beecher.
Beecher moves out of range of the strikes.
Lakota thows a left - swing and a miss!
Beecher lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Beecher throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Beecher scores with a sloppy right hand. Lakota should have avoided that one.
Lakota scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Beecher dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Beecher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Lakota swings wildly with an uppercut but Beecher uses good head movement to avoid it.

Beecher lands a nice shot to the body.
Beecher lands a hook that snaps the head of Lakota backwards.

Beecher presses Lakota against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Lakota misses with a punch to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beecher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Beecher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Beecher throws a good cross that connects.
Lakota on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Beecher. Beecher obviously looking to wear him down.
Lakota takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The fighters circle, before Beecher throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Lakota's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Beecher lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Paul Beecher decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
