Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tanner Velez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Krawinski!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krawinski clinches.

Velez is working for takedown but Krawinski is calmly controlling the position for now.

Velez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Krawinski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Krawinski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Velez goes for a takedown attempt but Krawinski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Velez throws a big counter combination but Krawinski scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Krawinski closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Velez quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Velez wants to control but Krawinski is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Krawinski is stalling here. Velez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Krawinski seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Velez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Velez is putting a hurting on Krawinski here, landing some big shots from side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Velez drives through with a takedown into guard.
Krawinski wants to get back to his feet but Velez passes into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Velez in particular looking to stall.
Krawinski is trying to stand up here but Velez is controlling him well.
Krawinski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Velez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Velez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krawinski keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Velez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Velez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krawinski tries to avoid it but Velez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krawinski to the ground. Krawinski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Velez is trying to drag Krawinski to the mat but Krawinski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Krawinski jumps guard and drags Velez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Velez wants to control from the top but Krawinski keeps moving.
Velez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Velez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Krawinski has picked Velez up - he's going for a ride! Krawinski dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Krawinski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velez keeps working.
Velez tries to roll over but Krawinski keeps him under control.
Tanner Velez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Velez thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tanner Velez will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Velez shoots in and bounces Krawinski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krawinski defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Velez.

Krawinski tries to hold on but Velez postures up.
Velez cracks Krawinski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Krawinski is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Krawinski looks a forlorn figure.

Tanner Velez showed his dominance in that final round.
