Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Mayweather (ranked 2827 p4p, 322 weight class) and Kenshi Kimura (ranked 2628 p4p, 299 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenshi Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kimura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mayweather.
Kimura has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kimura doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mayweather makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kimura fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mayweather to the ground. Kimura is now in Mayweather's guard.

Kimura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mayweather's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kimura wants to pass the guard but Mayweather is defending well.

Kimura is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kimura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like Kimura might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mayweather is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mayweather tries to lock up and control but Kimura gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kimura jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mayweather manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimura prevents Mayweather from escaping the position.

Kimura tries for a kimura but Mayweather is defending well.

Kimura has hold of Mayweather's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mayweather seems comfortable defending it but Kimura has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mayweather is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mayweather is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kimura couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kenshi Kimura!
