PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maximillian Mixler (ranked 6462 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tain Bo Cuailnge (ranked 24024 p4p, 0 weight class). Mixler comes to the cage accompanied by MAD MAN. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximillian Mixler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tain Bo Cuailnge!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mixler rushes Cuailnge and presses him up against the cage.
Mixler is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mixler wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mixler is trying to push Cuailnge away but Cuailnge has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mixler tries to circle away but Cuailnge has him pinned against the cage.
Cuailnge drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mixler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mixler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mixler wants it to stay on the feet.

Cuailnge shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Mixler pushes Cuailnge off and gets back to his feet.
Mixler fails to land with a series of punches.
Cuailnge wants to counter with a clinch but Mixler pushes him away.

Mixler darts in and clinches Cuailnge up against the cage.

Cuailnge manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mixler has closed the distance and engaged Cuailnge in a clinch.

Mixler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mixler shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cuailnge eats them both and turns towards Mixler to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mixler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mixler lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mixler closes the distance but Cuailnge moves to the side

and Cuailnge decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mixler's guard.
Cuailnge cracks Mixler with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cuailnge is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cuailnge works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice strikes from Cuailnge there.
Mixler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cuailnge on the ground.
Mixler looks like he's trying to stand up.

Cuailnge in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mixler tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cuailnge!
