PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 614 p4p, 94 weight class) and Clifton Von Lee (ranked 504 p4p, 75 weight class). Clifton Von Lee told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Von Lee momentarily.

Von Lee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burgundy's half guard.
Von Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burgundy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Burgundy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Von Lee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Von Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Burgundy tries to sprawl out of it but Von Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burgundy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Von Lee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burgundy on his heels. He'll look to pass Burgundy's guard now, I'm sure.

Burgundy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Von Lee walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Burgundy checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Burgundy walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Von Lee drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Burgundy swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Von Lee's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
