Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Ware (ranked 7105 p4p, 0 weight class) and Divanei Silva (ranked 5066 p4p, 0 weight class). Edmundo Ware has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets a takedown into half guard.

Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ware doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.
Ware is positioning himself well to prevent Silva advancing to mount.

Silva is working for a kimura but Ware is defending it quite comfortably.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Silva is going to stand back up.
Ware has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ware wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silva slips a nice elbow through Ware's hands, connecting with Ware's forehead.

Ware wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ware really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva is nestled in close to Ware, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Ware is defending the position.

Silva is taking a breather. Ware says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
