Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Garcia (ranked 3327 p4p, 397 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 2850 p4p, 356 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia walks into a left hand.
Gomi slips a jab from Garcia.
Garcia throws an overhand right that lands on Gomi's shoulder, as Gomi tries to avoid the shot.
Garcia lands with a hook. Gomi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Garcia drives through with a takedown into Gomi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gomi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Temp Spar Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Gomi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Garcia frees his head nicely. Oh but Gomi has switched to an armbar! Garcia is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
