The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askcrew takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Alvarez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alvarez throws a nice inside leg kick.
Askcrew tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and Askcrew moves out of range easily.

Askcrew fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alvarez, pushing him back against the cage.
Askcrew blocks a body shot from Alvarez.
Askcrew misses with an elbow over the top.
Alvarez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Alvarez lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Askcrew is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alvarez to keep the fight standing.

It looked like Alvarez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Askcrew.
Askcrew tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alvarez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Alvarez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Whorely Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Askcrew.
Alvarez lands a nice shot that snaps Askcrew's head back.

Alvarez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Askcrew wants to counter the offense by Alvarez and move into the clinch position.

Askcrew moves in looking to clinch but Alvarez pushes him off.
Alvarez tries a head kick but it misses.
Askcrew darts in looking for a takedown but Alvarez gets double underhooks and turns Askcrew into the cage.

Askcrew chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Alvarez can pounce on him.
Askcrew tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alvarez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Askcrew shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense.
Askcrew misses with a takedown attempt
and Alvarez makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alvarez connects with an inside leg kick.
Alvarez tries a head kick but it misses.
Askcrew dives in and grabs Alvarez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alvarez pushes down on Askcrew's head and hops out.

Alvarez misses with a wild body shot.
Askcrew wants to clinch.
Alvarez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Askcrew looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alvarez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Askcrew tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvarez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Askcrew shoots in but Alvarez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Alvarez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Askcrew. That did some damage!
The fight stays on the outside here - Askcrew looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Askcrew shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Alvarez is holding on to half guard well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Askcrew tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alvarez swivels and escapes.

A head kick lands from Alvarez that sends Askcrew to the canvas. Askcrew tries to scramble back to his feet but Alvarez brings him back down into side control.

Askcrew is rocked!

It looks like Ren Askcrew has been cut.

Alvarez is taking a breather. Askcrew says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Askcrew is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alvarez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alvarez's back!
Alvarez just trying to survive but Askcrew is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Well, with Askcrew on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Alvarez is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
