Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Lynch (ranked 5164 p4p, 0 weight class) and Divanei Silva (ranked 4951 p4p, 502 weight class). Divanei Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trent Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Divanei Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Lynch landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lynch is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Silva pulls Lynch in close to prevent any damage.
Lynch is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Lynch missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Lynch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Lynch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Lynch pushes his legs off easily.

Lynch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Lynch's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Silva tries to escape but Lynch has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Lynch has got his arm under Silva's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Silva has spun round into Lynch's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Silva postures up in Lynch's guard and throws a big left but Lynch blocks it.
Lynch wants to sweep but no luck.
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Lynch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lynch throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lynch's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Divanei Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Silva stands and throws Lynch's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynch keeps working.
Lynch managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Silva.
Silva looks up at the clock and then as Lynch takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Silva smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Silva wants to take a breather but Lynch manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Silva.
Lynch can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lynch is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lynch is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.
Lynch on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Divanei Silva.
Well Lynch has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
