The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthew fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Matthew looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barzilla is fending him off so far but Matthew persists. Nope, Barzilla circles away and we're back to standing.
Barzilla misses with a head kick.
Matthew misses with a body kick.
Matthew is looking to clinch but Barzilla is avoiding it.
Matthew lands with a kick to the temple. Barzilla shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Barzilla misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Matthew appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Barzilla pushes Matthew up against the cage in a clinch.
Barzilla stops a takedown attempt from Matthew .
Matthew blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Matthew avoiding damage as Barzilla throws knees to the body.
Barzilla throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Matthew blocks it with crossed arms.
Barzilla presses Matthew against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Barzilla pulls guard successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barzilla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matthew is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barzilla is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Let's hope that Barzilla has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Barzilla is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Matthew is controlling him.
Matthew trying to control but Barzilla is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barzilla kicks Matthew off and gets to his feet.
Barzilla dips to his left and cracks Matthew with an uppercut!

It looks like Mark Matthew has been cut.
Matthew drops his hands for a split second and Barzilla immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Matthew face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Barzilla follows up with a right hand that knocks Matthew into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
