Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slade Wilson (ranked 1715 p4p, 226 weight class) and Alexey Alexandrov (ranked 911 p4p, 122 weight class). Wilson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hypnotize - The Notorious B.I.G.. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexandrov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wilson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wilson throws a series of punches but Alexandrov avoids them all with ease.

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alexandrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alexandrov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Alexandrov working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Wilson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wilson is just content to waste time from the top position. Alexandrov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Alexandrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alexandrov is pulling down on Wilson's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilson, at least for the moment.
Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexandrov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alexandrov cracks Wilson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Wilson has his feet on Alexandrov's thighs here. He's pushed Alexandrov off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Alexandrov screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
