Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brevan Mink (ranked 4211 p4p, 409 weight class) and Rick Laws (ranked 7207 p4p, 495 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laws takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Laws darts in looking for a takedown but Mink gets double underhooks and turns Laws into the cage.
Mink lands a jab to the nose.
Mink lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mink.
Mink punishes Laws's body with a nice straight punch.

Laws throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mink tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Laws is in Mink's guard.

Laws drops back looking for a leg! Mink is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mink manages to kick Laws off! Laws jumps back into Mink's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Laws thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mink looking to hit a scissor sweep but Laws is one step ahead there.

Laws drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Laws jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Laws drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Laws seems to have locked his on tight now - Mink screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Laws, as he picks up the win!
