Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Afeef Isa Baba (ranked 285 p4p, 40 weight class) and Lao Shin (ranked 301 p4p, 42 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Baba might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nation Arabic Orchestra. Shin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shaolin Chamber of Death. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baba gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Shin counters with a stiff right hand.

Baba works Shin's body with a nice hook.

Shin misses with a telegraphed body shot

Shin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Shin looks to land a left hand but Baba moved out of range nicely.
Baba goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That kick from Baba tenderised Shin's leg. Shin is trying to keep his angry face on.

Shin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Shin's corner calls for a 1-2. Shin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Shin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Baba.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Shin drops Baba with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Baba! Shin dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
