Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mbekezeli Ndawonde (ranked 3927 p4p, 353 weight class) and Jonathan Harvey (ranked 3366 p4p, 326 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey takes a head kick and keeps coming.
We've been informed that Harvey has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Harvey takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ndawonde lands with a right hand.
Harvey with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ndawonde cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Harvey missing with a left hand there. Ndawonde was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ndawonde misses the shot to the body.
Ndawonde throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ndawonde throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ndawonde lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Harvey throws an overhand right that lands on Ndawonde's shoulder, as Ndawonde tries to avoid the shot.
Harvey misses with a straight left.
Ndawonde chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Harvey throws a hook to the side of Ndawonde's head but Ndawonde sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ndawonde was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ndawonde tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harvey was well out of range. Poor timing from Ndawonde.
A head kick from Ndawonde lands but Harvey takes it in his stride.
Harvey misses with a body shot.

Harvey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ndawonde is trying to defend but Harvey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Harvey is working for a kimura but Ndawonde is defending it quite comfortably.

Harvey is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ndawonde is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
