The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gottfried counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gottfried.
Craig just leaning against Gottfried, taking a breather.

Craig shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gottfried napping and manages to drive through into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Craig shoots for a double leg takedown but Gottfried sprawls well. He's pushed Craig's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Craig fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gottfried manages to avoid it.

Craig shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gottfried is trying to defend but Craig finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gottfried can do anything to dispel that myth.
