Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chief Ute!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ute has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Robertson is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Robertson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ute did well to prevent Robertson getting side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Robertson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Robertson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ute uses from the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Robertson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ute can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
