Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hello Bay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Bell!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bay sprawls well initially but Bell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bay is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bay is trying to stand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bell is in trouble now - Bay has advanced to mount!
Bell is bucking up trying to escape but Bay cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bay lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Bell! Bay sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Bell and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hello Bay!
After the fight, Hello Bay was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
