Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Whitaker (ranked 406 p4p, 61 weight class) and Anton Shibaev (ranked 3296 p4p, 399 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anton Shibaev!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

And Shibaev tries to counter it with a takedown but Whitaker pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anton Shibaev decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
